Virtual Player Card (仮想のプレイヤーカード Kasō no Pureiyā Kādo) is the term given to a nonexistent or "imaginary" Player card that will be placed on the Player Square by Rule Effect if a player chooses to not put a Player card on their Player Square during the game preparation, or does not control any Player card on their Player Square for any reason during the game (with the sole exception of controlling a Z/X Overboost on Square).

A Virtual Player Card does not possess card name, text, or any other parameters with the sole exception of its Player card type. The existence of Virtual Player Card is essential when playing with cards that can give ability to a Player such as "Ash-Eclipsed Fallen Angel, Gambiel" or "Five Chiefs - Heavenly Ear Ruffian, Guile Tusk" while neither player is using a physical Player card.
